Coaming Base Radius.

I am trying to understand,,, and get all of my ducks in a row before I start laying strips on the deck. I have a question about the radius at the base of the coaming. I thought I read in past messages that strips and scraps of glass cloths were kind of push in around the area where the coaming meets the deck and soaked with epoxy and radiused with a radius tool, board, etc. If that is correct it seems it would be a bumpy wavy blob of a radius, but could be sanded into a nice radius. Also, does this radius become a wetted look (see through) when finished. And finally, is this radius, in a last step, radiused with a thickend epoxy mix to smooth things out? I am thickend on this one. Thanks
John
