Banged in sick the other day and was wandering around the Home Depot. In the air tool section they have an aluminum 3 into 1 fitting designed to run three tools off one compressor. Sort of looks like a Mercury space capsule. The bell end has three 1/4"NPT females and the end where the chute should come out has one 3/8"NPT female. This inexpensive fitting would make ganging compressors possible.
