The cheap duck tape I buy at Menards called United "www.unitedtape.com" sticks like crazy

If you're just using the tape to tie things together here's good trick. I bought a boat and was dismayed to see that the halyards and rigging had been secured down the length of the mast by wraps of duck tape. I thought I would end up trying to get all that adheasive off everything. When I got to the task I found whoever had tied things up was smarter that I'd given 'em credit for. What he'd done was to take one turn around the mast and loose rigging with the adhesive side out. After completing the turn and snugging every thing up, he'd twisted the tape adhesive side down and took a turn over the first wrap. All I had to do is cut the turns and they fell away. No mess, no fuss. Even the discarded wraps didn't stick to my shoes!
