Building my first stripper

After reading Nick's book and kayakcraft, along with a few other books on s&g and canvas on frame building, I'm getting ready to start stripping on a Great Auk shortened to 14'....The forms are on the strongback, fairly well lined up.....Cut and milled the strips last weekend out of 16" western red cedar that they use for decks and saunas and stuff like that here in KY.....and my impression is that I'll never get these long flimsy strips put together in a boat with anything resembling integrity. But it has been fun so far. Just wonder if I'll ever smell epoxy.
