cove and bead

Had a little epiphany over coffee break this afternoon. Let's see what you guys think. I haven't really thought this through but I'll throw it out anyway. When routing the cove on strips what happens if you raise the angle of the strip so that the axis of the cove cut is at, say, 30 degrees while the axis of the bead remains at 90. Seems to me using the resulting short side of the strip on the inside of the hull would reduce gaps on the outside forced by the curvature of the hull. Thoughts? Tom
