I am getting close to finishing my Coho and have two concerns. I have a hard time believing I am going to be happy with a foam cushion for a seat. There always seems to be water in the bottom of a kayak and I don't want to be sitting in it. The only seat I have seen on the internet is the "happy bottom" seat. I have looked at production seats from Necky and Current but they cost around $150. Any ideas?
I don't like the way you have to use dowels to change the angle on the straps to hold the front hatch cover down. I haven't cut my hatches yet so I haven't been able to experiment. Has anyone ever tried using bungee cords?
