I used SP expoxy pigment with MAS epoxy and had no problem. I used it as the fill coat for the hull after the cloth was on. I wanted it there so that scrapes to the paintwork (which I painted white, same colour as pigment) wouldn't be so obvious. I think it worked quite well, but I wasn't trying to get the equivalent standard of surface pigmentation as with gel coat.
