Cockpit coaming

I am working on the cockpit coaming for my Georgian Bay and was trying to figure out what was the best height for it. What should the distance be between the deck and the bottom of the coaming lip? How thick should the lip be? and how wide should the lip be. Thanks in advance for the help.
