Glad you like it Shawn.
I made the seat directly off of the mold. I was not too concerned with the surface finish because I figured it would be covered with something anyway. I have decided to spray the seat with rubberized compound which is supposed to leave a textured finish. I will post a pic when it is done.
I am making a second seat right now which has to be self supporting. To increase the strength (stiffness) with minimal increase of weight I have incorporated pieces of 3 mm luan into the flat sides, back and front of the "skirt". I am thinking that 3 mm of wood is going to be stiffer and lighter than building up layers of resin/glass.
Post a pic of the seat you make - I would like to see it.
