I'm the administrator and host of these bulletin boards. I started building kayaks for my own use in 1986. I run this board in the hope of encouraging others to catch my addiction. The board is financed by sales of my book and kayak plans, so obviously I hope that everyone that uses the board will eventually buy something from me, but it is not required. My primary goal is to promote the idea of building your own kayak. If I can make a living while pursuing this goal, so much the better.
