Thanks for the encouragement, I'm going to
try a few test strips and then sand them.

Any more advice about using 10cc syringes
to MIX epoxy? Also how does keeping syringes in
a plastic bag help them last a long time?

Glad to hear that the epoxy wasn't so hard
to sand that it prevent you from fairing the deck.
