: Thanks Nick,
: Does anyone have experience with polyurethane
: Glue? I'm told that the concern with it is
: moisture/humiduty must be just right for the
: glue to work right and I'm not sure how to
: regulate this factor correctly.Hi Monty,
In my previous posting on this thread I mentioned thay I use Balcotan 100 well this is the ORIGINAL polyurathane glue
Bally (the shoe people) were the ones that invented the glue.
As to humidity well we dont have much of that here in the Namib Desert. It will handle wood up to 25%
If the wood is very dry use a mist gun on the joint just before or give it a wipe with a wet cloth.
I have used Gorilla, Balcotan and various other glues. One point the need more clamping pressure than epoxy and they foam. This is the method of forcing the glue into the wood.
They also have limited gap filling properties.I have no problem.
Do not try to wash wet glue off skin!!!! (moisture cure)Rob
