: I want to use epoxy to glue all the strips (hull and deck) on my kayak.
: I'm using bead and cove strips for the hull and square for the deck.
: The epoxy is three systems. I plan to mix small batches and apply with a
: brush. All comments more than welcome.Hi Monty,
Do not use epoxy!!! You will not be able to sand the surface fair and in the end it will look like a mess.
The pot life of epoxy is to short
It is toxic so gloves are required and I for one cant handle gloves for hours on my handsI have no idea what 'Yellow Carpenters' glue is I use balcotan 100. in small quantities applies with a small brush.
It is not perfect but it is the only waterproof glue that I can get here other than Cascamite which is harder than epoxy.
I tried white PVA but the damm stuff stays wet for so long that when I applied the epoxy it ran into the epoxy and caused a real mess.Try the yello goo
