Glacier Bay - Alaska

I was wondering if anyone has tested the self-made kayaks in some weather conditions like in the Glacier Bay.

I found an article about Glacier Bay in Alaska and I am fascinated to do such a trip, If possible with a self-made watercraft.

I like the iqyax design, but do not have the right drawings. If anyone can assist I will appreciate it.

I was lucky enough to spend two days kayaking Glacier Bay in May 2017 from the comfort of a small adventure cruise ship.  The majority of the bay is protected so the kayaking conditions are actually pretty benign except for the cold water.  I would suggest that any decent touring sea kayak would be capable of a trip there.  The primary concern would be volume to carry all the gear that you will need.  Doing it via Uncruise was wonderful but expensive.  The only thing that would have made it better is if we could have been paddling our Shearwater Double instead of yellow plastic.
